Want to build a LB4 Turbo
 

Hey everyone, for some odd reason i came up with a possible idea to take my 95 Blazers 4.3W and make it a turbo liek the Typhoon/Syclone, does anyone know what im going to need to do this, i kno i need a TD-06 i can get one easy, and i kno i need a intercooler, im just trying to find out what do i need to do to the actual block and heads if anything.

As any turbo build, you "can" run low boost less than 10. However this shortens the life of the engine. The correct way is to beef up the crank and pistons with a low compression build and boost the f**k out of it. Since turbo engines act differently to maximize gains you need to get the right cam and a tune as well. The vin: W intake isnt the same as a Ty/Sy turbo intake. You can still make it work but the setup will look different completly. Turbo exhaust manifolds.

In 1991 GMC introduced the GMC Syclone limited edition truck that used a turbocharged 4.3L V6. This engine used a Mitsubishi TD06-17C turbocharger, Garrett Water/Air intercooler and electronic multi-point fuel injection. Although GM made these modifications to the engine, it was still referred to with the RPO LB4 code. The majority of the naturally aspirated LB4's long-block was shared with the turbo version. However, the vehicles that used the 4.3L turbo engine also included RPO code ZR9. Internal engine upgrades included nodular iron main bearing caps, graphite composite head gaskets with stainless steel flanges and hypereutectic pistons which lowered the engine compression to 8.35:1.[7] A unique intake manifold that used the 48 mm (1.9 in) twin-bore throttle body from the 5.7L TPI Corvette engine was used on the engine's top end.[8]
The Turbocharged 4.3L was last used in the GMC Typhoon in the 1993 model year. The engine produced 280 hp (210 kW) @ 4400 rpm and 360 lb·ft (490 N·m) of torque @ 3600 rpm.[9]

Thank you now i got a couple questions to ask maybe you know. Do you think i could use the Typhoon Intake manifold, and do you know of a website or company that makes aftermarket head gaskets. And all this would still apply to a S/C right?

will a sy/ty intake manifold work on my 95 CPI Blazer or no and if so where can i get my hands on one?

a sy/ty intake will bolt onto CPI heads that should be in your 95. However I have no idea where to get one.
