Where does this vacuum line go? Or is it suposed to be plugged?

I noticed a hissing noise last night, when i open the hood i found this vacuum line undone. I can't find where it goes so i plugged it. Maybe ot was plugged and the plug fell out. I don't know. The truck is a 2000 blazer 5 speed. any help would be greatly appreciated.

either host the picture on photobucket.com or go to http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/d...powertoys.mspx and download the image resizer tool on the right side of the screen and use that to resize your pic.

It looks like it broke off of the Vacum ball that is mounted on the hood (or at least that is where the line goes on mine). You may need to replace the ball due to the plastic breaking off in the hose.

You will have a vacuum tank in the fender on the drivers' side, behind the brake modulator valve.

what do i have to get if the ball has has broken off? can i get the part at pepboys? Also is it bad if i have the hose plugged until i get the part? Also this is off topic of the vacuum line but i have what sounds like a lifter noise when the rpm's get around 2500 and higher. My mechanic said this is due to the engine having a solid lifter cam. But i dunno.

*Combining posts. Please use EDIT of no one has replied since your last post, thanks. TBB

Also where did you get pictures like those?

Plug the line until you can get another canister or rig up a coffee can or something. You will probably lose the ability to change from vent, feet and defrost.
