WOT Engine hesitation

Hi all,
I put a CAI on my 2001 LT a few weeks ago, and really like the results. Recently though I've noticed that when I hit the gas hard from about 10-20mph, and it downshifts into first (I think it's first anyway), it hesitates as it goes through the RPM range. Almost like it's not getting enough fuel, then it gets a shot, tails off again, then another shot.

I haven't had any mods done to the PCM or put a chip on it or anything. No exhaust work yet either. Anyone have this issue? I shudder to think that my fuel pump can't keep up, but I don't think just the CAI would get me into that territory.

Thanks.
