yet another problem!
 

well, after noticing i have a bad blower motor, and alternator. I have another problem.

I have been pretty much treating this blazer like a baby since i got it. I know i need a new sig, i have a 97 4x4 now!

Anyway, i drove it to work today, and getting on the highway i finally got on it. It just kind of revved up, kinda sputtered and stuff, but never died on me. Very slowly gained speed. It seems like everytime i put more than 2/3 throttle down it will do this(city driving or wherever) I just cannot get on this truck without it happening.

whats your guy's ideas on the fix? May as well do it this weekend to since i get to change the blower motor.

My guess would be you're getting too much fuel for some reason. Have you checked your air filter lately?

air filter is clean just checked it the other day while messing around with the vacuum line that came off

Have you checked to make sure the EGR valve is clean and that the catalytic converter is not plugged up?

will put that on the to do list, riddle how do i check the cat im pretty sure its welded on?, keep the ideas flowing thanks in advance!!

1. Rap on the underside with a mallet or your hand and listen for a rattle to see if the insides have broken loose.

or

2. Remove the O2 sensor just ahead of it and run the engine (it's gonna be loud) to see if the response is improved. If it is better, then the cat is plugged.

im going to go ahead and seafoam it this weekend too, and see if that helps

It's the simplist things that I never woulda thought of!

Actually, the easiest way to tell if your cat is plugged up is...

CHECK TO SEE IF ITS LITTER BOX IS STILL CLEAN :D

seafoamed it today, didn't help the problem, but it is running a little better. Will check the cat this weekend but i think its fine. Could it be the fuel filter?
