zero fuel pressure, change pump and still no start

1998 Jimmy 4x4 4dr. 131,000miles. Everything was great got some 31" super swampers and the next day was oit on the trail, stopped for about 20min. Turned the jimmy off. When I went to fire it back up, was ver hard to start missfiring like crazy, a few min later started running fine. Drove home parked it, next morning would stArt. Crank and crank and nothing. So I tested the fuel pressure (read 0). Changed the pump and filter. Still nothing it has fuel pressure now. Also it has spark. Any ideas would be great. Thanks a million

Bobby.

what brand pump did you replace it with? what was the fuel pressure reading?

Im not sure what brand. I had a shop change the fuel pump. Wish I could have done it myself, but I live in an apt complex. He said the pressure was over 60psi though.

Hopefully they used delphi or delco, or you will be doing it again soon.
