The owner had lost the keys but the doors were unlocked except for the rear window and tailgate exterior opener. I have an new ignition cylinder for the steering column on order. Does the rear glass only open by an electrical actuator?. I assume I must have the upper glass open before the lower tailgate will open. Will the external handle unlatch both the upper glass and the lower Tailgate? How can I access this assembly with things closed?
Thanks

I swapped a 01 bravada engine into a 97 blazer and my oil pressure sits at 20 cold and slowly goes down to around 10 when it is warmed up. I bought an aftermarket oil pressure sensor and I went to check if oil was bypassing the sensor and getting on the plug, while I was doing that the plastic part disconnected from the medal thread part so it no longer works. I put 10w-40 in it and it seems to be running slightly better. I am close to changing the oil pump but I was wondering if there were any other things that I should check before then?

there is a fluid collecting on the bottom of my precat and burning when driving. is this fluid automatic transmission fluid?

oil coolant lines replaced by the dealer with OEM GM oil lines and the bottom (including precat) was subsequently washed 200 miles ago
dealer recommended noted somewhat of a transmission fluid leak and replacing the automatic transmission gasket.

or is this an oil leak? what am i looking at here?

I was just going through some old things and found a pair of Blazer owners manuals. My plan is to put them on craigslist and try to sell them local for cash. Whats a reasonable price for something like this?

I have two, a 2000 and a 2001. Both for Blazer. Both in their little leather case, and both in great, near perfect condition. The 2001 has the little smaller supplemental book with it, the 2000 does not.

Also, when I was 20 years old, my brand new 2000 blazer slid down a snow covered hill and smashed into some trees. Which is how I had a 2000 and 2001 brand new chevy blazer ZR2 in black. Sadly, the second one was a dud and suffered from never ending water leaks that made it always smell like mold. But I got rid of it 22 years ago, man time flies. Oh and the ZR2 in my avatar is a 1998 I bought back in 2012 to pull my small boat with. Man would I love it if chevy still made a small or mid-sized truck based SUV, but thats another topic entirely.

Let me start off by saying this is a post asking for help in planning a first time tranny rebuild as far as parts & tool list. Now that's out of the way here's the facts. I have a 2001 Chevrolet Blazer 4x4 w/ automatic transmission that needs full rebuild. Basically transmission was driven for weeks after instrument cluster started failing, causing all those great shifting issues, and not like around town driving I'm talking daily multiple freeway trips 20+ miles. Needless to say when I drained the fluid not only was it black and burnt the amount of metal shavings that came out was absurd only until I dropped the pan and saw what came out was a 3rd of what was in there. I can also see the wire on one of the shift solenoids is broken so I wanted to just kind of get a look at the other electrical components and the other shift solenoid falls off as soon as my fingers touch it bolt still holding what's left of it to the valve body. I stopped there because I know it needs a full rebuild. I don't have the money to have a shop do it but I'm a self taught backyard mechanic but I have never rebuilt a transmission. After doing some research and watching videos I'm confident I can get it done however I'm just worried about what all parts and tools I will need. I'm not looking for a full-on list like with what brands and part numbers just a generic list of parts and tools I will need. If anyone is willing to help me out with that I would be so grateful honestly I'm even willing to pay you for your time if I have too. Also based on what happened to the transmission is there anything else I may have to replace or at least give it a checkup to make sure it want damaged also like the transfer case or something? Again any help would be much appreciated.
