1986 Full Size Blazer front speaker help
 

I googled it, searched here... looked through tons of pages and I cant find it >.< whats the easiest way to get to the front speakers in the truck? or...how do you?

you have to take the top of the dash apart. really not that big of a deal. theres like 4 screws on the bottom by the passenger side like right above the glove box. should be one on each side of the dash, have to open the doors to see it. then there are i believe a few by the gauges, dont remember if you have to take the plastic gauge cover off or not. after you get the screws off pull the dash towards you, it snaps in up front by the windshield

i think you have to take the gauge cover off. just the first one.

You do not need to take off the dash bezel to remove the dash pad.

Good places to relocate them?

from the dash? idk why'd you want to relocate, if your looking for a better sound you could put some just behind the driver and passenger seats

LMCTruck.com (as well as a few other retailers) sell replacement kick panels that house 6.5" speakers.

Some have modified the front lower section of the door to mount 6.5" or 6"x9" speakers into the doors themselves, but often this is done incorrectly and results in leaks as well as speaker damage in the long run. If you do this and cut a hole in the door, you have to make sure that you seal the opening both from the inside to outside of the door and between the inside of the door and the backside of the speaker. The door is not completely sealed from water from outside to the inside of the door, but the inner panel of the door should be relatively protected from water getting into the cab. When you cut a hole in the door, you may cause it to leak.

i think ill try that Spectreblazer, someone took out the speakers in the front and I'm afraid of losing a lot of sound when I go topless in the summer, it even happens with the exhaust xD and 3.5s just seem too small for me lol. could you link a pic for your setup? so i can get an idea?

yup i sure can. they are mounted on the side panels but a picture is worth a 1000 words. i have 3 in the dash, they are an aftermarket setup.

That would be the stock location for a speaker if the truck came with the rear trim panels. If you do not have rear trim panels, you will have to fab up a box to put the speakers into, make a set of rear trim panels and incorporate a speaker box of some sort for better sound quality, or get a set of trim panels and make things work.
