1989 5.7 k5blazer problem
I did the wire trick and the only code that comes up is 12...It idles fine but whenever i give it gas it boggs down... sometimes dies
any helpful tips to solve this problem 5.7 1989 k5 blazer already changed the injectors, dis.cap, router, pcv valve, air idle control sensor, and fuel pump |
I had the same issue not to long ago, ended up changing the throttle control modd, fixed the bogging issue. now im haven a problem with the truck stalling when in gear, i have an 87 with a 5.7

you can check the egr valve. ive seen them go bad where they open wide open at idle and cause a major vacuum leak and cause the engine to die out at idle. probably gonna need to people, the last truck i worked on it didnt do it at idle, had to put it in gear and give it a hair of gas

Have you replaced the fuel filter or the coolant temperature sensor? Common fixes for a problem like yours.
|
i changed the fuel filter and coolant temp. sensor and the same problem is happening....
anymore ideas..ill try about anything |
Fuel pressure in spec (9-11psi)?
MAP sensor reading properly? TPS sensor reading properly (~0.5V at closed throttle & smooth transition up to ~4.5V at wide open throttle)? EGR valve operating properly (as previously mentioned)? |
Well i got the truck running great...but whenever im in gear and give it gas it has no power the truck barely moves even though it runs great
