1992 Fullsize Blazer Frame Swap
Hey guys, new to this site. I hope i'm posting in the right section.
I have a 2 door full size blazer 4x4. A tree hit my truck head on and bent the frame as well as 1 fender, rad support, bumper etc... I really love this truck and was wondering if any other 88-98 frames will be compatible with it. Body and paint is fresh and the truck is perfect from the doors back, so i was hoping to swap the body to a donor frame and replace the front end from the donor to make it complete again. Any ideas on what frame will work for this? |
'92 was the first year for the IFS. As such, you can only use a frame from a 92+ two door Blazer/Tahoe/Jimmy/Yukon.

is there any other frames that would fit? could I cut the front half off a 4x4 pickup and graft it on?

Hey,
You can use the 95 frame of the tahoe or yukon up to the 97 I believe the frame was made alittle smaller in 96 or 97 |
You do not want to get into trying to graft two frames together unless you really know what you are doing.

I guess so, sounds kinda complicated though
sounds like you can buy a used shell, and rebuild it from the inside out |
