79 manual rear window regulator

Hey guys
could anyone point me toward a source, for a manual rear window regulator for my 79. the one that is in it has been repaired before, but i think it has given up the ghost. The gear inside the little housing on the regulator is stripped and the gears on the arms are pretty worn and of course the rollers are gone. These rear windows were drasticly underenginered, I despise them. I thought a manual window would be less maintinence than the power windows. I sold my Sub. with the power rear and now have a 90 with barn doors and Im selling my 86 with the power window and wanting to get this 79 rolling. I am considering doing somthing to the effect of a conopy type flip-up window so if anyone has seen or done somthing like that I would be interested in seeing it.

LMCTruck.com has it on PG33 of their catalog. A quick browse through craigslist using searchtempest.com might find a cheaper, used solution for you. I bought an entire rust free, electric rear window tailgate for what LMC charges for just a new manual or electric regulator.

You can actually see a lot of this on online stores. I suggest you don't look for specific online store where you can get manual rear window regulator parts. Lot's of them actually can offer you good price.

My window rolls up fine except for the last inch or two. Any ideas on how to fix that?
