79k5 350 engine fit in my 86k5??

goin to go look at a 350 that came out of a 79k5 but wondering would it fit in my 86k5?

It will fit but depending on the difference in technology you might have alot of work ahead. If you have a TBI it would be easiest to stick with TBI and same goes for carb. I've seen a guy that put a 12 cyl Cummins in his K5 and if that will fit almost anything will just a matter of time and labor and money.

simple answer is YES?

the basic motor is the same for both years ....depending on what fuel system you have will make the difference in wiring harness, fuel pump, and computer.

but the good news is you can put your top end on the 79 easily

hope this helps

86's didnt have Tbi... that im aware of! so you should be good to go. i thought the first TBI engines were introduced in 1987... but i have been wrong before lmao
