92 ABS Anti-Lock Brake Speed Sensor Help
 

I recently installed a new Left Front anti-lock speed sensor because my last one broke. I installed it and went to check if the light went out but it did not. So i read the codes off it and 25 was coming up. This means that the circut is still open but i plugged the sensor in and all. I tried disconneting the battery to reset the codes, but it is still staying on. I don't know what to do anymore Help is highy advised.

Attach a multimeter to the sensor connection and put it to the mV-AC scale. Spin the wheel by hand and see what the reading is. If it is not above 250mV-AC, then the sensor air gap is too large. You can close up the air gap by removing the sensor and filing down the surface it mounts to. You need to get this value above 250mV-AC.

If it is above 250mV-AC, then the wiring between the sensor and the ABS control module is damaged somewhere.

If i were to file down where it bolts it would not help at all.

Ah, different design than I remembered from my dad's '94 K2500...

See if you can move it closer to the reluctor ring if the output is not high enough. You have to start by testing the output and go from there.
