blazer 454

hi,

i am looking into buying a lifted 91 blazer with 35s. in has no motor but has a tranny with broken bellhousing (standard). it comes with a older 454 and auto tranny. i was wondering if the 454 would be good for a daily driver? i live in a small town so there wont be alot of driving around. is there much work swaping in a big block from a small block?

thanks

The big block will fit right in. The factory throttle body fuel injection will not be enough for it though. You will either have to utilize a computer and injectors for a big block or use a carb... of course it won't pass an emissions test with a carb... But this is possible to do.

the 454 is from a older 1 ton and is tbi. what would be the easiest way in your opinion? how would the carb fit on?

If you have the TBI along with the 454 then just plug it in and you are done. If not then get a set of 454 injectors and install them into your current throttle body.
