blown head gasket

hey guys I just blow the head gasket on my 85 blazer, and I was wondering what the torque is on the head bolts. It has a 350 small block in it.

first off thanks Kayle for the link to boxwrench it helped a lot.
but now I have another problem. after puting the motor back together the engine will not run right, I have set it on TDC on the compression stroke, and the HEI distributor button pointing at the #1 Plug. the best I can get out of it is that it will start but it makes poping noises out of the carb. while its running especially when you step on the gas, and when it pops little clouds of white or gray smoke come out. I have a recording of the the engine running but WAV. files are not valid files for the site. could it be the valves? I can't see how I could be getting the distributor in the wrong place, I pulled it several times now and reset it, pointing at #1, flipped it 180 degress and back again. its driving me nuts.
any help would be great.

It definitely sounds like you are not getting it quite lined up right.

Turn the engine by hand with your finger over the spark plug hole until you feel your finger starting to lift off. Once you feel that, continue to spin the motor over while holding a piece of wire through the spark plug hole. You will feel it push up and, at some point, slow down before going back down in. This will put you at TDC compression #1.

From there, you need to drop the distributor down in so that it lines up with the #1 post on the cap.

Once you are timed up properly, you need to dial in the proper base timing.
