well im gettin the master cylinder and booster already put together ..i was thinkin i should take the master cylinder off the booster because it would be easier to bench bleed it off the booster then hook it back up and install it does that sound about right?

Yea I would do it off the booster. The booster is pretty self explanitory. There's 4 bolts holding it on. There MAY be 2 under the dash, I don't remember if that was hydroboost or vacuum that had those two. Anyways if it doesn't come off when you take the 4 off that's why. Then just unhook the rod at the brake pedal and that's it

so for the master cyl. ill just put it in a vice to hold it put those little plastic caps they give you on the ports fill it up and pump that little lever till brake fluid seeps from the plastic caps is that about right?

abig84 08-04-2012 07:36 PM

the way ive always done it is instead of caps they sometimes give you plastic fittings with a hose, i thread those into the master cylinder then put the hoses into the top of the master cylinder into the fluid, that way when you push and let off youre not sucking air back in.

im not saying you cant do it with the caps, i just dont know how if there is a way
