Disengaging 4WD
I have a quick question as I am 4x4 challenged.
The auto locking hubs failed in my 84 K5 Blazer, and I replaced them with Superwinch manual locking hubs. Here's my question: When I disengage the 4WD, do I still have to back up the 10 ft like I did with the OEM hubs? Thanks and my apologies for the dumb question. |
You should not have to back up.

You don't have to but they hubs unlock quicker if you back up a few feet, same with locking them.

I don't know about ten feet but I always did for a few inches just to get the tension off especially when they start to get old and dirty inside
