sounds like you need to get a cv joint at the rear end like they used on fullsized cadillacs back in the day.

wonder if you can just throw a stock one in. ive ran stock shafts with 6inchs of lift for years.

i was thinking about the stock shaft but i cant find a conversion joint to go to a dana 60 to a chevy shaft. when u run a stock shaft should i run the transfer case drop or no?

i am having a problem finding a shop that will even attempt to make a new shaft, Ive had them tell me to take out the lift :-\

Are you sure you have a Dana-60 rear axle in your truck? If so, how wide is the yoke? It likely will be a 1350 u-joint, but there are 1310 joint Dana-60's out there.

1350 Spicer Specs:
1.19 Bearing Cup Diameter - 3.62 Overall Width

1310 Spicer Specs:
1.06 Bearing Cup Diameter - 3.22 Overall Width

Saginaw S44 Specs (2-3011):
1.13 Bearing Cup Diameter - 2.56 Overall Width

For conversion u-joints, consult the Neapco U-Joint Reference Guide.

As far as the rear driveshaft goes, it sounds like you need a new one made up. Here are a few links that might help you out:
Denny's 4x4 Driveshafts
Tom Wood's Custom Driveshafts
Plus more on google...

If you still have the stock slip yoke at the back of your transfer case (likely the NP208), you will definitely want to look into getting a slip yoke eliminator to put a fixed yoke at the back of the t-case. A lot of people get a Dodge NP208 that already has a fixed rear yoke and swap the output shafts, but I believe that there are kits available to do this as well. To go the Dodge route, the transfer case needs to be removed and pretty much gutted so now would be a good time to check out all of the bearings & seals. Not sure what's available in kit form. The Dodge NP208 w/ fixed rear yoke is by far the most common swap in this regard because it shortens the transfer case by ~6" making the driveshaft angles less harsh.

they sell universal ujoints for basically everything. it just sucks trying to find the right part number.
