Emission Hose Routing Questions - 1984 Blazer
 

Hello,

My dad has a 1984 305ci Blazer. A new long block was put in, as the original was high miles and super sludged up.

The truck is not wanting to stay running, and I got to looking at all the emission vacuum lines, and things are not right.

So I have a few questions based on the emission hose routing diagram:

1) Where is the DISTR DELAY VALVE (picture of one?) - Shows 4 vacuum lines connected to this.

2) Where is the EGR/PURGE/TCC TVS (picture of one?) - Shows 4 vacuum lines connected to this.

3) Where is the EFE/DISTR TVS (picture of one?) - Shows 4 vacuum lines connected to this.

4) Where is the DECEL VALVE (picture of one?)

5) On the picture of the carb, there is an F. On the back of the actual carb, I see an F and G stamped on it, but is the F the top nipple, or the bottom nipple?

I am use to OBD2 vehicles, and not to keen on carbs and all the vacuum hoses everywhere.

I found a pic of a very similar diagram, and highlighted the things in question.

does the check engine light come on? does it stay running? for how long and how does it stall?
