flashing lights
 

hey guys i have an 89 K5. a couple of days ago when i turned my ignition on, my hazards started going off with an annoying tic tok sound, the flash is slower than the actual hazards and the sound is to. the truck had an old alarm that was deactivated. i noticed that sensitivity sensor box was still attached so i cut the wires to it and removed it, but it had no effect on the flashing upon turning the ignition switch. Please help me get rid of this annoyance. thank you.

Could it be the ignition switch going bad? I read a thread on here about the contacts like 'burning up' and causing a lot of random electrical things to go wrong
