full size jimmy body to blazer

So, as some of you may have noticed from my intro post i am the proud owner of a 78 K5. well, the body is almost completely shot. I have found a mid 80's full size jimmy tub that is like brand new. From the research i have done, it seems 73 to 91 blazers can pretty much use the same body tubs.

Being that there is a wide range of knowledge here on these forums, i need your help. will this work and can the bodies be lifted manually say by... 5 or 10 people? anything i need be aware of?

There were changes in the body mounts through the years. 73-77, 78-80, 81-84, and 85-91 where the year ranges having the same body mounts from beginning to end.

The rear two mounts are the same from 73-91.

The radiator core support mounts and the front tub mounts are the same from 73-80 and then from 81-91.

The #2 mount (the mount just ahead of the rear axle) is the one that changes the most with ranges of 73-77, 78-80, 81-84, and 85-91.

Not only do the mounts change in design in these ranges, but also in height. I am unsure if the changes were accommodated in the body or in the frame. You will have to make a datum and compare the height of the various mounting surfaces frame to frame and body to body to know for sure. Hopefully it is all in one component allowing you to use factory mounts.
