hey im yankin the carpet outta my blazer and putin in some bedliner i got some small holes from rust in my floor whats the best thickness of metal plate to use to patch it so when i bedliner it ,it wont look like crap or should i just weld it on and grind the hell outta it ?thanks yall

Best way to fix would be to find a donor rig and cut the pieces that you need and patch them in. Replace all the rust or you'll do it again next year.

For sure, make sure you get all rust up before you bed-line it! Really you can go pretty thin if the holes are real small, I ordered entire new floorboards from LMC, and they're only about 1/16" thick-ish. Don't forget, you can always bondo, to have smooth clean transition.

How much money do you want to sink into the thing? There is the "right" way, welding in a patch panel. Then there is the other way, fiberglass resin and mat. I've done both of them and they both work fine. If you fiberglass it make sure you kill the rust and coat the metal with a rust converter. It will hold up just fine.
