hello i have a 1983 chevy k-5 blazer originaly had a 305 in it but now has a 350.

Ok i finanly got all the brakets that i needed i also have some spares now if anyone needs them.

However i put everything in and had the system vaccumed down and filled but now i have an electrical issue. i am getting power to everything but the compressor itself. Any suggestions? i have no idea where to start. I trouble shot it to the best of my knowledge but my electrical background is in the home not autos. I have checked every wire related with the A/C system that i have found and the only wires that im not getting anything on is the one leading from the harness to the compressor itself.

Help is greatly needed its hot in alabama

I have also jumpped the compressor to verrify that it works as i was instructed to try out and it is fine and the system cools good when i hook the compressor straight to the batt.

Sounds like the low pressure switch may be bad. Try disconnecting the switch and installing a fused jumper wire across the contacts in wiring connector.

Ok i did what you suggested and jummped the low pressure switch and still nothing. i checked to see if i was getting power to the switch again as well when i had it jummped and i am. ????? dont really have a clue about a/c work. i have looked at the other threads on here and i havent been able to find out what is wrong i have voltage everywhere except the compressor? does that make any sence?

all help is greatly appreciated.
