LS Swap 72 Blazer
I just purchased a 1972 Blazer with a fuel injected 396 and turbo 350 transmission. It runs perfect but I am going to swap out the drivetrain with a 2016 L83 engine and 6 speed auto trans I just purchased. Has anyone here performed an LS swap into an early Blazer? I am looking for as much info as possible so I can start collecting everything needed so my rig is off the road for as little time as possible. I will be using the stock wiring harness, drive by wire pedal and all accessories as I currently have a/c and plan to keep it. I thought I read somewhere that the front crossmember will need to be changed out. Can anyone help me with my research? Greatly appreciated. Thank you

P.S. Isn't a 2016 a Gen5 LT engine, not a LS? Not sure if the mounts are the same but probably are. Oil pan - better ask. Sounds like a REALLY expensive swap! But to each his own. https://www.lsxmag.com/tech-stories/...our-next-swap/ |
