need some advice please
 

I just bought a 90 blazer for some parts for another blazer. I also have an 86 GMC Pickup. I was thinking of trying to take off all the parts for the fuel injection off the blazer and putting them on the pickup. Does anybody have any ideas that would help if i decide to try it. Thanks

It's basically a wiring harness and induction swap. The one challenge may be finding a fuel tank with the proper baffles to support fuel injection. I know that there are differences in the Blazer tanks.

You will need to sort through the wiring and decide where you are going to stop with the Blazer harness and where you will keep the Pickup's harness.

I will be doing this swap in my '74. I will not be using any of the stock harness from my K5. All of the wiring will come from my '90 Suburban donor. I just purchased the FI tank a few days ago which was really the last piece of the puzzle.

thanks for the input. The fuel tank is something that i didn't even consider. Now i have to rethink this because my pickup has dual tanks. Will i need to run a return line for the fuel injection?

You should not have to run a return line. If you do need to regulate the fuel pressure, you could do so with a regulator that does not require a return. The benefits of running a return would be to constantly circulate fuel so that the pump runs cooler.
