New tranny and diff fluid
I'm wanting to put some royal purple in my axles and my tranny, since my k5 is used for mudding, so the i have a lot of high temp high speed spinning with my tires. My only thing is, if i change the fluid in the tranny the normal way (dropping the pan) that doesn't get to the fluid in the torque converter or transfer case. do i have to drop the whole tranny to get to that fluid? or, if i just change the fluid like normal, is it the royal purple gonna end up mixing wit the fluid in the torque converter, which is DEFINITELY not synthetic or high performance fluid. plus, changing the oil in the axles, i have never done before. in the army we just pour new fluid in and let it it spill out till it starts coming out clean. how do i go about changing fluid in the civilian axles without taking the cover off, or am i **** outta luck and just gotta take the cover off. wow, that all came out more confusing than i thought it would.
