you have a diesel in a 77?

The 400CID small block can be called a 6.6L.

If the th350 was stock, then you likely have the NP203 (fulltime 4wd) transfer case. It would have to be converted to part time operation if you have lockout hubs on the front.

As far as lockers, your truck came with the GM Corporate 12-bolt (8.7/8-in. 1.31 Axle Dia. 30 Spline) rear axle and could have either the Dana 44 (8.5-in. 1.31 Axle Dia. 30 Spline) or the GM Corporate 10-bolt (8.5-in. 1.28 Axle Dia. 28 Spline) front axle. Just find the locker you want and install it. A lunch box locker is much more novice friendly (not knowing your experience level), but they have their limitations. It all depends on what you want to get out of it.

i have the small block 400 and this is my first 4x4 but not my first rebuild and do i have to change the t case if i get lockers or how does that work. Also do you guys know where i can get fiberglass fenders im just making this a mud truck that is street legal no rocks and no trails really.

If this is a mud racer then I would put a locker in the rear and a locker in the front, but leave one hub unlocked when not racing (for steering purposes) and leave whatever t-case it has in 4HI.
