No Power

I apologize ahead of time, I'm not mechanically inclined but learning as I go.

I got a 78 Blazer that hasn't ran in ten years from what I was told. The guy I bought it from said "there were ignition problems" but didn't know what the issues were. I put a new battery in and have power to the starter but nothing electrical works. No headlights, power to the dash, nothing.

Im hoping someone can give me a place to start looking. So far, all the fuses look good.

If I'm rehashing an issue that has been discussed, can someone point me in the right direction? Thanks in advance

my truck is a little newer as its a 86 but it has a bigger red wire that runs along the back of the fire wall in the engine compartment that goes to the inside of the vehicle through the fuse box area. so there should be a wire that runs either from the battery or the starter itself that makes its way into the cab itself. might be blown fuse or fuse-able link

clean up all the grounds. Look for for wires bolted or screwed to the firewall or frame, also engine block
