Noisy injectors

Hi everyone,

Let me first say thank you to all who share their knowledge on this forum. I am a new member but have learned alot from reading posts before joining.

I recently bought an 88 with TBI and the injectors seem noisy. They have a bit of a buzz sound to them. I have had this blazer about 4 months and this just started. Are they going bad? And how common is that?

I searched for this and didn't see any posts, any help is appreciated.

Check the injector pod bolts. There should be three of them if I remember correctly. If they are loose, it can cause quite a racket.

Also check the location of the fuel lines. They sometimes can hit the firewall at the back of the engine.

It is also possible that you have a restricted return line which is causing excessive pressure to the injectors. A restriction could come from a twisted or bent line. This can sometimes occur right where the lines enter the back of the throttle body if someone isn't careful taking the lines off.
