Oil Questions

I was wondering how heavy and oil everyone uses, winter & summer.

Vehicle specs??

For a small block, 10w30 year round should be perfectly fine. 5w30 for winter if conditions are particularly harsh.

There really is not much need to go heavier.

lower mileage= 5w30
higher mileage= 10w30/10w40/15w40
uses oil heavily= 20w50/30weight

I've got Penzoil High Mileage since it's recommended for anything with over 75k... 5w30 i believe.. its raining and cold so i'm not going to go look!

Highly dependent on the motor in question... Especially when talking about the heavy weight oils.
