I have an 88 chevy blazer silverado. I am looking for a replacement stalk on the steering wheel for the turn signal and lights ect.... specifically, the function of brightening and dimming the lights does not work. It just flops back and forth like the switch is busted inside the steering collumn... maybe I need the switch and not the stalk?? Any input appreciated, as well as any tips for doing the replacement?? Thanks.

Check the switch first. There is a metal rod that goes down the column to a spring loaded switch.
