Thread size for oil filter adapter needed

Fed up with the leaking oil cooler lines on my 94 with the 5.7 and 4WD and going to head down to the hydraulic house to get some lines made up. Question: what's the thread size of the holes on the side of the adapter that locates the filter sideways? I want to say 3/8" but maybe someone here has done this... I want to go from the male fitting into the adapter to a male flare and then a swivel flare to the hose.

My hands and driveway would appreciate it.

Here's another one- went and got the Dorman replacements and they come with the plastic cage-like pieces that hold the hardline into the fittings that in turn go into the oil filter mount. My question is that when I pulled mine out, they had all kinds of o-rings eveidently put there as a means to stop the leaking. I have to figure that there's some o-ring or seal that belongs on the tube. Where?, before or after the flare/hump?
