Transfer Case lowering Kit
 

I am installing a T- Case lowering Kit (1 inch) and was wondering if I will have any issues with my T-case shifter going from 2H,4H or 4 L once I do this. Will there be anything else I have to adjust. Thanks all.

Ok, I see how they go...

Indexing keeps the transfer case up where it is stock, but rotates the front output (the one that typically gets bad angles with a lift) down to for better alignment.

Lowering just lowers the brackets that hold the T-case/transmission mount. As such, your shifter will be 1" lower. You may have to clearance the hole through the floor for the wider throw. Since the shift linkage is mounted to the transfer case, you should not have any issues with the linkage itself. Only clearance problems with the floor.

if hes got a 88 he will have the np208 which uses a floor mounted shifter so that wont be a issue. but i know what your saying, i did a body lift with a np203 before and had to cut the floor

you should be fine with the 1inch. i did a 2inch body lift with a one inch transfercase drop and was still able to use the stock linkage and shifter. i just had to adjust the linkage a little bit.

just a tip if you do have to adjust it. pull it out and clean it up its fine thread and takes forever trying to spin those bolts with years of crap in the thread
