Vibrations @ 50+

In my 91 blazer fullsize when i get to 50-55 any speed above there when i let off the gas i get vibration that seem to be right between the front seats i was thinking it may have been my u joint on the front of my driveshaft since the rear joint is brand new. I was wondering if it could be anything else. Friends have been saying my it could be my driveshaft is tweaked???

any kinda of suggestions would help

Please have patience. It sometimes takes awhile for folks to get around to a question. You had a post a couple of weeks ago about breaking a yolk strap and dropping the driveshaft, right? If the shaft hit the road while you were moving, yeah that could damage the shaft and cause a vibration. I would check the u-joints for wear (if they're old, just replace them anyway) and inspect the driveshaft for damage.

I have the same problem with my 88 BLazer, but I had just added a 4 inch lift. Was told it was the U joints but I haven't had it fixed yet. Let me know if you have fixed your problem or not. Hopefully it is just a U joint or two.

id guess u joints too. maybe a bad crossmember mount or a bent driveshaft may cause this

if your drive shaft hit the ground theres your problem its proably bent. hit the junk yard and get a new one and replace your u-joints. its not that hard or expensive

Just changed out my U-joints and that seemed to fix my problem.

I had this problem in my '91 K1500 Blazer. I replaced both U joints and it fixed the problem for about a month, then the problem returned. So I'm back to square one.

How often you go mudding? It could just mud in your wheels.
