What is the name of the part in front of the Windshield
Hi,
Does anyone know what the name of the part is in between the hood and the windshield? I need one for my 1992 full size Blazer. I am not sure what it is called, so I am having a problem searching for one. Thanks Stu |
Have you tried looking for a "cowl"? I think that's what it's called...

i believe he is right its ur cowl or ur talking about the rubber hood to cowl seal the cowl itself for ur truck form LMCtruck.com is only $119 for the center and the left and right hand side cowl are like 20 a piece

Are you talking about the screens that cover up the lower portion of the cowl? They are cowl screens and LMC carries them all. A junkyard will likely have them for a vastly lower price. Anything from a pickup truck '86 or newer will work.

Hi,
It's the piece that goes directly behind the hood. It covers up the windshield wipers (sort of). It is a metal peice with slots on it. You remove it to get the the wiper motor and etc.. Most newer cars don't have them. I don't think it is called a cowl, the cowl is the entire section behind the motor. Thanks Stu |
Ah, yes, on the 81+ trucks this is a single sheet metal part. My '90 parts Suburban has this part. I believe it is called the cowl cover, but I do not see that anyone reproduces it. You should be able to pull the part off of any 81-91 K5 or Suburban and any 81-85 Pickup.
