76 k5 cranks and turns over but doesn't start
i have a 1976 cheyenne blazer that doesn't start. I was driving it and it kind of bogged out so i let it turned off and when i tried to turn it back on it wouldn't start. It cranks over and over but doesn't start. I already checked the spark and fuel and its good. New battery, new starter, new distributor cap & rotor. Does anyone have any ideas or can help with any suggestions please. Thanks

try dumping some fuel down the carb. see if it will run for a few seconds. i'm betting fuel.

I already tried that and it didn't do anything

you are 100% sure you are getting spark? i ask because i had a problem similar to yours and i had a terminal off on the distributor. what you need to do is get a piece of wire. and take 12volts + to the distributor. if you get it to run all you should have to do is unhook it. i'm gonna go check mine really quick to see what it says on the distributor i think there is a + sign etched into it. i'll go look.
it says BAT . takes + of the battery to that terminal on the distributor. if that still doesn't work
A. you are not getting fuel
B. bad ignition module

ether.......
if you are getting spark, then I am with the fuel problem. just because it is getting to the carb doesn't meen it's getting out of it.
did your distributer turn? set timing out maybe? are all cylinders getting a spark? just cause the one is doesn't mean they all are.
bad plugs? just cause they are new doesn't mean they are good, gapped wrong?
pull a few plugs out(one at a time) plug the wire onto it and hole the plug to a ground and make sure the plug itself is sparking.
weak spark? make sure the spark is nice and blue.
last possibility.. are you sure you put GAS in and not diesel? :P

yup right inside the dist. take off the cap and you'll see it. did you try taking + 12 volts to the BAT side on the dist. ?

So i checked out the ignition module and it looks good to me. Yes and it does the same thing. It just cranks and cranks but wont actually start. I put fuel down all 4 barrels and nothing still.
