Unhappy 93 K5 w Edelbrock Vortec Top End

Hi -
Sorry this took me a few to find how to post a new thread.

PLEASE I need help with my K5. I luv the **** out of this thing, and it has developed a nasty "screw you - I'm not starting" disease.

Under the hood -
350 with Edelbrock's Vortec aluminum heads, being fed by Edelbrock's MPFI Vortec intake conversion kit (from CFI). It makes vette owners look over as I jump off the line so quick? Anyway, my beloved hot rod 4x4 is dead, and everyone treats it like a Franken_SUV and won't touch it.

What I've tried -
I've replaced the distributor and coil, and it restarted and ran for another 6 months (NOT continuously used during week).

I replaced the ECU as I was told the rest of my distributor virtually lives there? But was told to re-use my EPROM. It has what looks like a board with THREE chips, two of them are presumed to be the vehicles original chip set? The third one is Edelbrock's - presumably to control the MP injectors?

Does ANYONE know COMPLETE details of this setup and how a person can locate replacement chip sets? Hypertech offers one, but for some stupid a$$ reason doesn't offer one for the automatic OD??? (why offer one at all at that rate if you ask me!)

I LOVE MY BLAZER! I HATE seeing it down - can anyone help here? Has ANYONE else done something this insane to a computerized FI K5???

1991 was the last year of the K5 so I am assuming that you have a 1993 K1500 full size Blazer that came with IFS. ( I had a 94, one of my all time favorite trucks )
Sounds like you have an aftermarket dilemma under your hood. Stuff works great when new but years later when it breaks, there may not be product support.
I would start with the basics as if you are working on it for the first time. Check for fuel and fire... do you have both? If no then obviously you will need to troubleshoot the reason why not. I am not familiar with the Edelbrock system... maybe contact the maker?
