hey im fixin onbuyin a soft top off this guy on craigslist its the kind tah snaps down is there a trick to lineling up the snaps because i dont have the snappy things on my truck so id have to add them lemme know ..im gonna go get it tomarrow

You'll basically want to lay the top down and start from the middle and work towards the corners/ends. You want to keep the top tight, but at the same time, not stretch it creating bunches in any areas such as in the corners.

how much you paying for the soft top? I want one soo bad but im not the most mechanically inclined and i live in apartment complex which makes it even more difficult. The only one i was able to find was around $700.00...please let me know if anyone has found some newer soft tops for the k5's (mines an 89) that are cheaper

my plan for a top is to just make one. my dads girlfriend is VERY good with a sewing machine and we can buy vying from some shop over here. take some measurements and craft one up. if it turns out good i might even start selling them!!!! who knows. that will probably be next summer though seeing as how its getting cold out pretty early this year.
