Default rear window motor question

Hi, I Have a 82 K5 and the rear window was originally power but the regulator and motor are gone, the window is being held up via 2x4's right now, my question is will the parts out of the same vintage of Suburban work? my buddy has a 85 Burb he is going to scrap this weekend but the rear power glass works just fine and he said I can scavenge the parts off of it if it will work in my K5, an other buddy of mine that owns a 74 full removable top told me he doesnt think the regulator is the same form Blazer to Burban but he wasnt sure. I dont have very much time before the Spare parts will be gone to the Big Truck graveyard in the sky.

Thanks for any and all help on this matter.

Yeah, I felt the same way, since they were free, that's exactly what I did. Maybe someone on here will know,

good question. i know the glass is different from suburban to k5 but cant remember and i actually owned both. been like 10 years since i had the burb so hard to remember.

one thing you can do, what i usually do in a situation like this go to a website like LMC.com and look up the regulator for both models and see if its the same part number

the motor i would think would be the same or be made to work but the tailgate is kind of a different shape. chevys are usually pretty good about interchangeable parts hopefully it fits
