thanks 4 everyone's post. @chestypuller blazers are a rare type of suv, they never die on there own accord, i have seen a 87 with 400,000+ stock engine, yes overhauled, but still same engine.

i am thinking about keeping it, who knows might find a 4x4 with a blown up engine, or something lol

i have talked to a local mechanic that swears the 4.3 always throws rods after 180,000

Those could be the ones that never had the lower intake manifold gasket replaced and the coolant in the oil killed the bearings, etc. :icon_denk:

Mine has 225,000, never have to add oil between changes and it runs like a top

I dont know if it means much to you where your at or not, but I got my blazer in my sig, pretty mint for $2,650 with 97,000 miles. So I cant see yours bringing in too, too much.
