Old girl was working fine when out of the blue stalled in traffic. Rough idle and barely got it in gear and going. Background: New OEM fuel pump and injector array 5 years ago. Shortly after, new plugs, wires, distributor cap and rotor. This incident: I checked static fuel pressure (55) and I'm dreading having to drop the tank again. Codes: po300, po449. I chased down some vacuum leaks, cleaned the EGR, replaced PCV and air mass sensor. Improved, but not right. I replaced the cap and rotor again (less than 2 yrs old) and she's hauling the mail again! I know I've still got a potential problem with the low fuel pressure but that's for tomorrow. I've made use of this site often in the past, and though it sometimes takes a while to find the threads that are really helpful, on the whole it has been a great resource. 282,000 miles and still going!
