1999 Blazer 4x4

what year did Chevy Blazer come out with 4 wheel disc brakes and a aluminum oil pan ? I use to have a 95 and it had rear drum brakes and a tin oil pan ! also how many miles can a person get out of a 4.3 if it's taken care of, like regular oil changes for example ! thanks !

I believe that 1998 is when rear disc brakes became standard. Not sure about the oil pan. My 2000 has the aluminum pan. There is a thread halfway down general chat about how many miles our original v 6's have.

Muy 96 has an aluminum pan. I think they changed from 95-96.

Rusty is right on with the rear disc brakes, 1998 was the first year. Rex is right on the oil pan. 1996 was the first year for the aluminum pan, and CSFI.
