Default 2000 2wd Blazer, changing transmission cooler lines...???

May be a dumb question. Ive got the cooler lines disconnected from the radiator, and ive climbed under the truck to look at the ends of the lines that are actually going into the transmission. Obviously, its a really tight spot, that you cant really see. So my question is... Since you have to get these annoying little clips off the lines.... How is this supposed to be done? Am i going to have to take the crossmember off ans lower the tranny onto my jack for long enough to replace these lines? Please help. Ive never messed with ANYTHING to do with a transmission. Ive done a lot of maintenance on vehicles but i dont want to go through more than i have to. Any tips ans tricks would be helpful. Thanks
