What's up guys. First post here. Read a lot, figured it was time to register and post. Anyway, here's my '99 blazer with the new tires. Shackles will be here tomorrow. I'll crank the T-bars just a little more when I install the shackles. On to the pics!!

Love those tires!

Nice looking truck. Do you have any issues rubbing with the 31's?
|
They barely rubbed the frame. Just enough to rub the surface rust off the frame. Couldn't tell when in the vehicle. I put the shackles on today and cranked the tbars up just a little more to level it out. I'll have to see if they still rub. Only lifted the front up about another inch.

Lookin' good! Be careful about cranking those t-bars too much. Most of the info you find on this site will tell you no more than 1-1.5" for a good reason. I did the shackles and t-bar crank max'd to clear 31's and after market wheels that push the tires outward. I had to max the t-bars to prevent rubbing (that's in addition to a 2" body lift). It wasn't long that the alignment was jacked and wouldn't stay. I ended up installing a Rough Country 2.5" suspension lift and wish I would have done that from the beginning. It rides much better now that the control arms can travel and the alignment isn't an issue for the alignment shop anymore.

I was thinking about switching the direction of the upper ball joints. Haven't really driven it yet to see how the ride is.

Is it okay with the aftermarket 2-3" shackles to and new torsion keys to crank em down? Or will you run into the same issue, I'd imagine you would but im trying to figure out how exactly I want to lift my Blazer.

Would ball joint spacers on the factory control arms duplicate what the RC control arms do?
