4 button vs 3 button transfer case?

Does anybody know what years had which?
Was the 4 button a ZR2 only option?

I believe the 4 button autotrac became available around 1998, and it was available as an option on most models of 4x4 Blazer/Jimmy, not just the ZR2. The 3 button versions in the S-series trucks us an NP-233 transfer case, and the 4 button autotrac use an NP-236 transfer case. Most parts from the two systems are not directly compatible.

Cool. Thanks!
So pretty much every 4x4 or ZR2 after 1998 would have the 4 button?

No, both were available. The 4 button was an option.

Oh OK.
Thanks for the clarification

Bravada axle tube or complete drive line swap???

My 04 has the 4 button auto. Not a fan... Honestly would rather just have a stick on the floor lol

Front driveline. I need to search more into it, but hoping to grab the case and axles.

Might I ask why? Just curious. Seems like a lot of work lol. Just because you want the full time AWD?
