is there an adjustment for shift cable? i have initial engagement but when i move i here a clunk and im back in 2wd transfer case is still engaged. new to the site. not sure if this is where i ask this question
not the correct area, but a Mod/Admin will move it for you later.
you're refering to the cable coming from your vacuum diaphram (under the battery) to the front diff? no, there isn't any adjustment.
have you checked how much movement there is on that cable? the cable could be binding up internally, or it may be hanging up inside the diff. remove your battery and inspect the cable & casing. also check the amount of vacuum you're getting @ the diaphram, and for any leaks in the hose. there are a few, so check each one, just to be sure.
