Question AC is cooling fine, but blower seems to fluctuate

2001 4x4 Jimmy. Issue I am having is the blower speed seems to fluctuate. AC cools fine, but the fan will be blowing strong then occasionally seems to fade to low speed then back to full strength. Haven't been able to put a finger on what it might be. Anyone ever experience this? Any ideas what to check?

Check the panel with the heater controls on it. These are the round dials in the center of the lower console. With the HVAC fan on for a while , is the panel very warm to the touch ? With the fan off for a while, is the panel noticeably cooler? This may mean there is a poor ground for the heater blower. If so , do a search for heater blower ground and add an extra ground on the fire wall. This will cause the panel for the HVAC controls to be much cooler. More importantly, the blower shouldn't be fluctuating any longer. Heater blowers use a lot of current and need a proper ground.
Do a search for 'heater blower ground' written by Capt. Hook several years ago.
