Any good junkyard mods for a Blazer?
I love going to the junkyard. But I never find anything good! Are there some good junkyard mods out there for a 1996 Chevrolet Blazer?

More comfortable seats. Tire carrier, if you don't have one. Skid plates, if you're into offroading. Different torsion bars, if you're 4 wheel drive. Grabbing a rear end from a Blazer with the RPO code "G80" to get a locking rear differential (This is on my to do list).

ad244 alt mod from a full size pickup... can get them from I believe 1999-2006 silverado 1500's amongst others... If you search up ad244 alt conversion it will come up with all the models it came on. alts are pretty cheap from the yard.
145amps instead of the usual 80-105amps. If you do this, make sure you check the alt case at the yard to make sure its the 145 amp model. All that will be needed to do this on your truck is about an inch, to an inch and a half longer belt, 1 grade 8 1/4" bolt and a some washers if the bolt is too long. |
bucket seats with a console? sometimes you find those smaller mexican steering wheels. a different set of wheels.

jeep cherokee steering knuckle its a good mod and replaces the weak and crappy gm rag joint. also find some aux oil coolers from trucks, new leafs, throttle body so u can swap the plates

Dont forget the noma hood mod. Did mine with matching color for $75.

Intrepid Efans. I did the jimmy hood mines not color matched but I only paid $10 for it:) astro van hydro boost brake setup. Overhead consolel if you don't have one. Full front end swap. I got my trailer hitch from the yard for $25 and it was virtually brand new.

whats the difference in hoods from a Sonoma and jimmy
|
Depends on year. If the sonoma is 94+ and the jimmy is 95+ nothing I domt think besides a little hump in the middle if not mistaken

What's the difference in the blazer Sonoma and jimmy hood? I google pictures but they all look about the same...
