Whatever you do dont wire the rear lights up with the reverse lights. You will regret it. Ive got 10 offroad lights on my 02 blazer with 4 switches. Ive got 2 rectangular roof lights facing the rear, 2 round on the brush guard, 4 round facing front on the roof, and as of a couple days ago 2 round strobes mounted even higher on the roof rack. Check my profile for the 8. Ill upload pics tomorrow with the 2 new strobes. It definetly looks obnoxious but thats kinda what i was goin for.

Just a suggestion, I went to the local truck-stop and picked up some c.b. antenna brackets. They worked perfectly as light mounts and clamped onto the safari rack just fine. I had access to a powder coating booth at my old job, so they got powder coated black. If you are attaching them to the factory luggage rack, they will work fine for this also. I'm only tossing an idea at ya!

omg...you have my light set up... *dreams* lots perfect!

I think the perfect light setup would have 12-14 lights...

4 mounted forward above the cab/rack
2 mounted slightly behind the 2 outside ones and angled out
4 mounted backwards on the back of the cab/rack
4 on the brushguard

I had 13 forward facing lights (excluding vehicle's factory lights) on a build that I previously did. I also replaced the air conditioner compressor with a 200 amp alternator and added a second optima yellow top under the hood just designated to the winch and lights. (Only two rear facing lights.) It was really cool, in my opinion.

I wish I did have pics, but fortunately I no longer have the truck. It was my first real 4X4 build and I got it for a great price. The down fall is that it was a F__d! Yes, the "F" word. Now you know why I said I fortunately got rid of it. LOL! The lighting and secondary alternator set-up was slick, however, routing and hiding the wiring was a pain in the butt. I will not go that far in depth again.

lol! no pics means it never happened... so, you never owned a Fraud! :icon_woot:
