Bed liner vs normal paint

Thinking about picking up a new set of Camaro rims, already painted black but need touching up.

which is more durable? bed liner or normal (rustoleum) spray paint?

The bedliner is going to be textured keep that in mind. I would say the bedliner would be a little more "tough" but I would just respray and clear them after you get another coat or two on there.

I've thought about bedlining the my wheels I'm just not sure if that would cause any issues with mounting and balancing with the texture and all. I wouldn't think so but I haven't asked a tire guy his opinion yet either. I would give a tire shop a call and see what they say!

People have mixed opinions, some say it will cause balancing issues if the coats are not even, others say it won't because it's thin paint.

Quite a few people say it's a bad idea If i bed line my rims will it throw off the balance - JeepForum.com

So I'm not sure what I'm doing yet. Might just go with a textured paint, would be easier to touch up

See I guess I should have searched a bit more and I would have came up with all that a long time ago and I wouldn't have been wondering lol! Not that my wheels need anything done to them just thought it might look cool to make them match my rocker panels. I guess I'll pass on that! The appliance paint does however sound like a good idea. Nice and thick but easy to spray evenly and will probably hold up far better than regular spray paint. I know everyone says powder coat but lets face it we are in a recession here gotta do what you gotta do! My vote is for the appliance paint:) Just my .02
