Blazer Road Trip in VT

Just wanted a quick post to share about our Blazer.

This past 3 weeks, I have replaced the idler arm, fuel pump, evaporative vent valve, purge solenoid valve and 4WD actuator cable in preparation for my wife's and mine road trip to VT for some snowboarding with her parents.

Blazer performed great! Fuel mileage was up to around 20 MPG on a tank which included highway and country back road driving; can't wait to see how it will do on a full tank of highway driving. The steering is tighter and it is a heck of a lot easier to fill up the tank!

Even at 164,xxx miles and counting, this thing still rocks. Currently parked in a snowbank right now since there wasn't anywhere else decent to park which would not have been possible without the 4WD.

I plan on driving this thing into the ground or until the cancer destroys it from the inside out...this is one of the most unsung SUVs of all time...

Nice. This past weekend i drove up north to do some snowmobiling and its about a 3 hour drive. Made it there and back no problems and made it there in back in a little bit over a full tank. Had cruise set at 80 for majority of the trip and id guess i averaged somewhere around 20-22 mpg

Word; it is nice when it all comes together. It is about an 8 hour drive from our home in Corning NY up to Smugglers' Notch in Jeffersonville VT.

Hope you enjoyed your riding!
